Follow this guide carefully in order to learn how to reap the full benefits offered by this appliance!

Understand what your new OTG does

At first glance, the oven toaster grill looks like any regular mini-oven. Next to its big glass door, it has three knobs that allow you to twist its operation settings.

The knob on the top is the temperature control. It ranges from 10°C (50°F) to 230 (446° F).

The second knob is the function control. It offers 6 different options. However, instead of words, it uses small icons to represent each mode. Here’s the full list, moving clockwise;

  • Defrost mode: This uses slight, steady heat to defrost meats
  • Broil / Rotisserie / Convection: This mode offers a strong heat source from the top coil only. It also activates an internal fan that helps the hot air move around the food. Finally, it allows you to use the rotating motorized rotisserie rod.
  • Toast/convection: This is the standard toaster grilling function. It also used mild heat (just slightly stronger than the defrost mode). In this mode, you can also activate the convection fan to better distribute the heat.
  • Toast / Convection / Rotisserie: This mode uses higher heat than the first toast option. It also uses both heating coils (at the top and bottom of the oven) in order to cook food from both sides. This mode also allows you to start rotating the rotisserie rod and the convection fan.
  • Bake / Convection: This mode uses a very strong source of heat, using both heating coils. It also allows you to activate the convection fan.
  • Bake: Finally, this option uses the full range of temperature controls offered by your Morphy Richards oven. However, it does not activate the rotisserie rod or the convection fan.

Finally, the bottom knob is the timer. The scale is in minutes.

This toaster oven also includes a full set of accessories, which will make cooking more comfortable and easy to control.

In addition to the standard baking tray and crumb tray, it also includes a wire rack, a rotisserie set

(which combines both a rotating rod and a set of tongs meant to hold a whole chicken and a kebab rod set that can fit up to 6 kebab sticks.

Install your new oven

Before you start cooking with your Morphy Richards oven toaster grill, you will need to set it up. In order to do this:

  • Choose the right location for it. You want a flat table or countertop that won’t allow the oven to wiggle. It should have enough space to ensure the back of the oven is not touching another appliance or a wall
  • Remove all the packaging and protective film. Make sure you spot the one on top of the glass and to the sides of the oven!
  • Wash the trays and accessories in warm, soapy water.

Don’t leave these tasks to the last minute – you only need to do them once.

Preheat your oven

Before you cook anything with your oven (but not for toasting or defrosting), you will need to preheat the oven.

In order to do this, twist the function knob to the “toast/convection mode” position and twist the temperature knob to the one required by the recipe.

Then, set the timer to 10 minutes and wait for the bell to ring!
